In Search of Oldton

It took me a while to realise that there might be two village greens in Oldton.

Crafty of the old villagers to hide one from the queen (if you believe Jonathan's theories). And rather brazen of them to erect a fairly ostentatious village sign right in front of it.

This area has all the landmarks associated with a traditional rural village: a pub, the Blue Boar serving its own local beer; and Andy's cricket pitch plus fancy pavilion with a balcony no less.

A set of children's swings has been installed to keep kids amused during long cricket matches. And there's a bowling green for those who get too old to play cricket.
