In Search of Oldton



There are some facts that will always have to remain facts.

No amount of digital noodling can change the fact that my father died, and that he killed himself. I'm happy to face up to that. But I don't see why I have to tell the truth about everything that happened.

Too much of it is boring, for a start. And anyway I've always had a tendency to exaggerate the facts of my life in an attempt to make myself more interesting and entertaining than I really am. This is what makes me a natural storyteller, I suppose. ;-)

Of course, far better writers than me have played games with the facts of their lives. At least here on the Web, we can all join in the game.
